Introduction to Domino Dorado:

La Leyenda del Domino Dorado is the latest online viral marketing campaign put out by Guinness beer.  The goal is to find the password to every domino (the passwords are hidden around the inernet in webpages put out by Guinness).  Once a password is found, the player can move on to the next domino and watch a 3-4 second film clip.  Within that clip are clues to find the password for the next domino.  There are 11 dominos total. 

 

Rules and Rewards:

Domino Dorado is open to Mainland UK residents 18+.  To win you must register on the main page.  Prizes include Guinness mugs, keychains, aprons, and other small gadgets to the grand prize a Gold Domino presumably worth over $10,000 (US).  However, just because you are not a UK resident, does not mean you cannot play along!

 

How to Play:

As Juan Ramon the Mayor of the fictional town of El Dorado states in the introductory video that this game would be very challenging.  Here are some tips to help you in your quest for El Domino Dorado:

  • Do not stray from any in-game website's front page.  If you follow links, it will erase your chance to find the clue.  If you do click on a link, go back to the main page and click refresh
  • If the site you are on is a flash-site, click around.  Most of the time there is a hidden button somewhere on the main page.
  • Lost?  email the "webmaster" for that in-game site.  It is always an "info@[site you are on].com"  You will recieve an automated response that will give you a clue.
  • Use google.co.uk when searching.  That is where the in-game pages show up.
  • When on the unforums, look through the topic and utilize the search button.  PLEASE DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED.  IT TAKES UP SPACE.
